- Sow under glass from March or direct outside from May to October. Undercover is best though
- Surface sow onto moist, well drained seed compost and only barely cover
- Optimum temperature: 25°C
- Days to germination: 7-21 (can be erratic on timing)
- Transplant to pots, containing free draining sandy soil, when seedlings reach 2-3cm and grow on
- Height: 10cm
- Spread: 10cm
- Pots can be placed outside after all danger of frost has passed and the plants have been acclimatised correctly
- Water with 5 teaspoons of unrefined sea salt to 5 litres of water Do not use table or Himalayan salt
- In hot periods water daily to ensure the plants are always kept moist
- Feed weekly with 15ml of Seaweed extract to your 5 litres of your salt water solution
- Once plants are mature harvest every 7-10 days by snipping off 5-7cm from the tips to encourage fresh growth.
- Repot into larger pots as necessary
- Will happily overwinter in a cool greenhouse but will need fleecing/heating in particularly cold spells to ensure they are kept frost free
