Easy to grow and very attractive with its silvery-green foliage and balloon like flower buds which open to reveal their delicately veined 5cm blooms in a lovely mix of shades. Will display all summer through to autumn. Hardy Perennial. Download sowing guide

• Sow January to April in well drained seed compost
• Gently press seeds into growing medium but do not cover as light is required to aid germination
• Optimum temperature: 15-20°C
• Days to germination: 7-14
• Transplant to 7.5cm pots when large enough to handle
• Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out once all danger of frost has passed
• Plant spacing: 20cm
• Soil: Moist but well drained
• Light: Full or partial sun
• Can flower the first year from an early sowing
