• Sow from January onwards indoors or heated undercover at 21-27°C
• Surface sow on good seed compost and gently firm down but do not cover
• Keep moist but not wet, sealing in a polythene bag can aid this process
• Days to Germination: 10-21 Light is required but shade from direct sunlight
• Transplant when large enough to handle and grow on in cooler conditions to acclimatise only planting out when all risk of frost has passed
• Dead head throughout the season to prolong flowering
