• Ideally provide deep, stone free soil but this one will cope in a poorer setting
• Sun or partial shade
• Sow February to April 6mm deep and 30cm between rows. Avoid sowing in wet and cold conditions
• Germination is weather dependant and may take up to three weeks. Re-sow if necessary
• Ready for harvesting when the tops die back, roots will store in the ground until late winter unless water-logged
