A large, easy to grow and very reliable white Spanish onion. It has glistening white skin and a mild, sweet flavour. If you are looking for an onion that stores well – this is it. • Start early spring indoors/heated greenhouse 8-10 weeks before transplanting to external growing site
• When transplanting clip plants to 75mm and plant 50mm deep
• Can be sown directly when the soil has warmed in mid to late spring at 2-3 per 25mm
• When plants reach 15cm tall thin to 12cm apart
• Days to germination: 10-12
• Days to harvest: 115
• Harvest when tops are brown and dry
• Soil: Fertile, moist enriched compost
• Onions can help in warding off pests from lettuce, brassicas and carrots
