Lavatera – Rose Mallow Mix

A cottage garden favourite and a great one to fill a large area with a dazzling display. Tall, sturdy dark green plants are smothered in 7-10cm trumpet shaped flowers in shades of pink, plum and white. Flowers well summer to autumn. Growing to 60-90cm they are not fussy about soil and are a firm favourite for bees and butterflies. Download sowing guide

• Sow 4-6 weeks prior to the last expected frost under cover and with warmth to ensure germination
• Sow thinly at 6mm and lightly cover
• When large enough to handle grow on in pots and gradually acclimatise to cooler conditions
• Plant out when danger of frost has passed 22-30cm apart
• Light: Full sun
• Soil: Well drained
