Echinacea Coneflower Red In Shades

Produces absolutely stunningly large (10-14cm) flowers in shades of red which change as each flower matures. Flowers from Spring though Summer and the long stems make it ideal as a cut flower. Copes with most soil types but refers fairly rich and well drained. Combine with other tall perennials such as Daisies. Can be sown in Spring or Autumn. Hardy Herbaceous Perennial. - Days to Germination: 8-21
- Planting Depth: 5mm
- Plant Spacing: 30-45 cm
- Height: 80-100 cm
- Location: Sunny but will tolerate light shade
- Sow from 4-6 weeks before the last frost undercover in pots or trays. Cover with 5mm of fine soil. Can be sown directly outdoors after danger of frost has passed
- Seeds sown early enough may flower the first year. Seeds sown from late Spring through to early Autumn with flower the following year.
- Thin and carefully transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and grow on
- Acclimatise to conditions before planting outside
- Water only when dry
- Large clumps of well established plants can be divided in Spring or Autumn
