Something different for you. Originating from Central America, some say they are a cross between a watermelon and a lime, others a cucumber with a hint of citrus. Very easy to grow and a favourite with the kiddies. The rampant trailing vines are equally at home in an unheated greenhouse or a sunny sheltered spot. This plant is actually a perennial and can last many years as long as the radish like root is dug up and stored much as you would a dahlia tuber over winter. Perennial usually grown as an Annual.
