One of the best quality beans you can grow, RHS AGM. This one grows vigorously and produces a prolific quantity of stringless, long, straight pods over a long harvest period. Can be sown early for an early crop and then again later in the year for a main crop. It even has pretty mauve flowers so looks as at home in the border as it does in the veggie plot. • Beans are a hungry crop so prepare sowing site with ample organic matter
• Sowing depth: 5cm
• Sow in pots in February/April with protection provided for an early crop and sow direct later in the year for your main crop
• Days to germination: 7-14
• Weeks to harvest: 12-14
• Protect from pests
• Provide support
• Once in flower feed with a high potash fertiliser. This will prolong your cropping period
