• Sow in April in trays or pots filled with good quality seed compost, do not exclude light which is needed for germination
• Maintain an ideal temperature of 12-15°C
• Days to germination: 14-30
• Transplant seedling when large enough to handle
• Acclimatise to conditions before planting out in pots or 30cm apart in a well-drained, sheltered, sunny spot after all danger of frost has passed
• Will happily grow on a sunny windowsill too
